There’s a growing number of micro-churches in the United States--congregations with fewer than 20 folks. Learn how this new reality for the Church comes with hope, promise, and a distinctive set of tools for building the kingdom of God. Micro-churches can offer the simplicity, nimbleness, and intimacy that the gospel calls for and our neighbors hunger for.

Taking time for self awareness, choosing , and sharing your life with others are called pursuits in the world of emotional intelligence (EQ). In this workshop, we will explore how emotions and faith intersect for a healthier and more connected life of faith. If you tend to avoid of push down emotions or if you're a person who acts and decides intuitively, this workshop will help you integrate your thinking, feeling, and doing. Pastor Brad Moore is an ordained elder in the Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church. He currently serves as the pastor at First United Methodist Church in Clinton, Arkansas, and Leslie United Methodist Church in Leslie, Arkansas. One of Pastor Brad’s greatest joys in ministry is witnessing God transform the lives of parishioners and our neighbors in the community through ministries of compassion and service.

Rev. John Pinkston has 19 years of experience serving small congregations--including one, two, and three point charges. He co-founded the Rural Ministry Now initiative and has been cleverly working around the particular challenges of small-town and rural congregations. This summer, he moved with his family to the Lockwood UMC in Missouri to continue his work.

Rev. R. Paul Klepees is an Elder in the Missouri Conference of the United Methodist Church and brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of rural church dynamics. Paul is a lifelong small-town resident with a passion for rural and small membership churches. Throughout his career, he has focused on growing and developing rural communities, serving both as a Registered Nurse and as a Pastor. Currently appointed at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in rural central Missouri, Paul has utilized relationships and partnerships to usher in a season of intense vitality and growth, with a particular focus on young families.Paul resides in Hatton, Missouri, an unincorporated cluster of 9 houses outside of Columbia, Missouri. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Margie, their four children, three dogs, 24 chickens, and Minerva the cat.
